Announcing Disrupt By the Sea, ALPHA Innovation’s flagship pitch event
Save the Date, on Friday 15 September, our inaugural live audience startup pitch event, Disrupt by the Sea will take place in our pavilion venue on Donegal’s Atlantic shores.
6 carefully selected startups will have just 7 minutes to pitch to a panel of US CEOs that have invested and built billion-dollar enterprises. Startups will receive advice on their roadmap, tough love and insights on gaining market entry to the USA. An overall winner will be crowned on the day the first ‘Top Disruptor by the Sea 2023’, while the live audience will choose their winner on the day too.
The winning startup will also win the use of meeting space on the East Coast via ALPHA Innovation’s US partners to accelerate their journey into the US market.
The event will feature a fireside chat with locally based scale-ups and multi-national corporations that are part of Donegal’s growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Disrupt by the Sea 2023 is the launch of an annual event that will showcase Donegal as an entrepreneurship and innovation hotbed.

We are on the hunt for 6 determined and globally ambitious co-founders, from any sector, who are:
Ready to launch into the US market
From ambitious scale-ups, with links to Wild Atlantic Way a bonus
With a scalable business model capable of successfully competing internationally
Differentiated and innovative product or service
Technology Readiness Level 6 or beyond
Pre-seed or seed stage but have not yet received HPSU match funding
